House Rules & What to Know
We want every guest to have a wonderful stay. A few guidelines help us keep the homes in top shape for everyone.
House Rules
- No smoking or vaping anywhere on the property
- No parties or events
- Quiet hours outdoors: 10:00 PM – 9:00 AM
- Maximum occupancy: 8 guests (adults & children, excluding infants)
- Stays with more than 4 guests include an additional per-person, per-night fee
- No commercial photography or filming
- No unregistered guests permitted on the property
- No firearms, weapons, or illegal drugs on the property
Pet Policy
- No pets April 1 – November 1
- November 2 – March 31: dogs may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- Owner must pre-approve all pets — send an inquiry before booking
- Unregistered or unapproved pets are not allowed on the property
Seasonal pet policy: Pet-friendly accommodations are provided seasonally (November – March) with prior approval only. Unapproved pets or pet-related damages may result in additional charges.
Check-In & Check-Out
- Check-in: 4:00 PM — Flexible
- Check-out: Before 11:00 AM
- Self check-in via smart lock — your code activates automatically once verification is complete
- Within 48 hours of booking (24 hours for last-minute stays), complete a quick ID match and e-sign the rental agreement
Safety & Security
- One exterior security camera at the front door, facing the side yard and street
- Camera records motion-activated video & sound — outward views only, no interior monitoring
- Smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors installed throughout
- First-aid kit and fire extinguisher are available on site
Trip insurance: We highly recommend purchasing trip insurance. Weather, power outages, family emergencies, illness, or natural disasters do not qualify for a refund. Trip insurance is very affordable — typically less than 10% of your trip cost.
Things to Know
- Parking: On-street parking in front of the house for a maximum of 3 cars. No off-street parking — please plan accordingly
- Kitchen access: You must walk through the TV room / 4th bedroom to reach the kitchen
- Fire pit & grill: Bring your own firewood for the backyard fire pit and charcoal for the grill
- Fireplace: The gas fireplace is non-operational (decorative only)
- Trash: Please bag all garbage before departure and place in the outdoor bin
Cancellation & Fees
- Cancellation policies vary by booking platform — please review the terms on Airbnb or VRBO at the time of booking
- A standard cleaning fee is included in your booking total
- Additional per-person, per-night fee for stays with more than 4 guests
- Damages, excessive cleaning, or violation of house rules may result in additional charges
Protect your trip: We strongly encourage all guests to purchase trip insurance at the time of booking. Unforeseen circumstances (weather, illness, emergencies) are not covered by our cancellation policy.
