The House

Close to Everything. Quiet Enough to Actually Relax.

Gorge Getaway sits in a neighborhood that feels farther from it all than it really is. ACE Adventure Resort is right down the road. The New River Gorge Bridge is a short drive. But once you’re on the back deck with the fire pit going, none of that matters for a while.

The perfect balance of adventure access and end-of-day comfort.

Inside, the space is clean and comfortable — fast Wi-Fi for the remote workers, a full kitchen for the group that actually cooks, and enough room that nobody’s tripping over each other. The yard is fenced and the fire pit is ready when you are.

This is the right home base for groups who want to explore the gorge without giving up the comforts that make a trip feel like a trip.

We enjoyed our stay at Elizabeth’s place so much. We wanted a comfortable, attractive home base from which to access Fayetteville and Summersville Lake. It also needed to be kid-friendly. This house exceeded our expectations! The style and feel inside was just right. All of the details were considered, including comfortable furnishings and wonderful beds and bedrooms. The home was spotless, and quite functional for our family. We enjoyed meals on the private deck, and fires in the backyard fire pit, and we all slept well at night.

★★★★★

Stylish and comfortable, this was the perfect place for my family (including our pup). We planned to be out and about hiking during the day and needed a place to rest and relax at night and this was just right. The bedrooms were lovely (I usually don’t sleep well away from home, but got plenty of rest). There were plenty of linens, a clean and spacious bathroom and a great guide for us to get around the area. We would definitely book this space again.
